Oak Park Response to COVID-19

Because of the COVID-19 (Corona virus) outbreak, government officials have been making recommendations to limit the size of group gatherings. The question is how does Oak Park Church respond to these requests? Given the biblical mandate to submit to the governing authorities (Romans 13:1-7), at this time the leadership of Oak Park has decided to suspend all church activities. We will be monitoring the government request and updating our decision on a weekly basis with the hope to gather again to worship and encourage one another soon.

In the midst of this it is important to remember whose we are. Our God is stronger, our God is faithful, our God is unchanging, our God is sovereign. Read, memorize, meditate on Psalm 46:1-2

God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble. Therefore we will not be afraid…

UPDATE March 25th, 2020: All services and activities are cancelled through until Saturday, April 11th. At this time we are planning to gather for Easter Sunday worship. Also, starting Sunday, April 5th we plan to make a sermon available for viewing online. More details will be released as we finalize details.
